In January 2004, the new annex (2350 m²) to the main building of the LLG was inaugurated. Some very innovative scientific companies already moved in, what creates a centre for technology and communication in the fields of photonics.

Our tenants:


MBM Science Bridge GmbH is the technology transfer office of the Georg August University Göttingen and the "Bereich Humanmedizin" which includes medical faculty and University hospital. The company commercializes results of the latest research of the university.
Microliquids GmbH commercializes and transfers technologies based upon liquid beams and droplets of volatile liquids or gases in vacuum in the following fields: EUV lithography sources, MS based analytics of biomolecules, bright point light sources for X-ray microscopy and mono dispersive nano-particle generation. The company was founded in 2003 by a small group of scientists from Max Planck Institutes and the University in Göttingen.
ProOpto GmbH was founded in 2008, so it is the “youngest” tenant. ProOpto is an outsourcing of the LLG and develops new measurement techniques, builds and sells instruments for the generation and determination of optical radiation and for the characterization of optical components. As well, they offer technical advices and other services in the fields of optical measurement techniques.
XTREME technologies GmbH was founded in 2001 as a Joint-Venture of Ushio Inc., Japan, and Jenoptik AG`s subsidiary Jenoptik Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH, Jena. The aim of the company is the development, manufacturing and marketing of high power EUV sources for lithography and related applications.
