The Laser-Laboratorium GmbH offers measurements to determinate the laser inducted damage threshold at uncoated substrates as well as dielectric coating:

Laser beam radiation with a high energy density can damage optical components mechanically. To protect the optical units, the damage threshold must be known. A new service of the Laser-Laboratorium GmbH is an offer about measurements for the determination of the laser inducted damage threshold at uncoated substrates and dielectric coating.

The supersensitive online damage threshold determination is possible because of video microscopy and digital image processing. The actual damage threshold is determined in an automatic measurement cycle. In the Laser-Laboratorium, single pulse (1-on-1) and three-and-more pulse damage threshold measurements can be accomplished as said in ISO 11254. On the sample surfaces, a homogeny (flat top) steel profile is used.

This service is offered for the wavelengths 351, 248, 193 nm, on request as well for 1064, 532 and 355 nm. Pulse repetition rates up to 1000 Hz are applied.
